A Teapot Series?

Here's another teapot, done while painting with my 'peeps', the Pieces of 8. Is this turning into a series?

I'm looking forward to the "Hopes and Dreams" show at the 5th Ave Gallery on 6 Feb. The artists did paintings as well as little books, and it is going to be fabulous. People are so original! I had a sneak peek and I think those books will go like hotcakes!

Friendship Rooster

I wasn't happy with this one until I added the little Portuguese Friendship Rooster. He's such a perky and colorful fellow.

A Departure from My Usual

This is the illustration I did for the National League of American Pen Women's anthology on Lincoln, Happy Birthday, Mr. Lincoln, A Commemorative Collage. This is Mary Todd Lincoln as a young woman.

My Little Book

I did a small book for the "Hopes and Dreams" show coming next month to the Fifth Ave Art Gallery, and it's sold already. It's a modern take on the Cinderella story. I received more requests for it, so I published it on Lulu.com. Here is the link:

Pete's Pub

Here's a fond memory: my daughter and I riding a golf cart to get to a ferry, then a long walk to rent an old Mercedes to drive to beautiful Winding Bay, and afterward to the renowned sandwich outpost known as Pete's Pub. Most people get there by boat; we had to use various other means. My alternate name for this painting is "Low Overhead." It's a ramshackle structure rising out of white sand, with a ceiling of hanging T-shirts and delicious food. We never had anything but delicious food in the Abacos...still thinking about that coconut pie on Elbow Cay.
