Hello Kitty, 7x5 Original Oil Painting Animal Portrait of Cat

This is my daughter Suzanne's cat, an imperious creature, as you can see. This cat bit me once, but I have a very forgiving nature and honored it with a portrait anyway. Also, I happened to take a dramatic photo that I couldn't resist painting. By the way, the cat's actual name is Hello Kitty.

Shore Scene, Original Oil Painting 10x8 Seascape on Canvas Panel Beach Scene

Spring is here and that means it's time to go plant-crazy. I get carried away with buying new plants and it's in my genes, so I can't help it. It's also time to walk on the beach and look at the beauty of the ocean. Even when I can't see the surf, I can hear it from my house. What a nice sound.

Windmill, 6x9 Mixed Media on Paper, Bronze and Black

I painted good-quality watercolor paper with bronze acrylic paint, then used liquid medium to transfer the windmill from a magazine print. I added the tulips to make it more interesting. It's too bad that the metallic effect of the bronze can't be fully appreciated when looking at it online.

Strawberry Mansion, 8x10 Original Oil Painting on Canvas Panel

Now a restaurant, this house was called The Strawberry Mansion for many years, and now is remodeled and called The Mansion. Built in 1905, it was originally a residence called The Queen Anne. As The Strawberry Mansion, it had delicious pink and raspberry colors.

I've been cleaning out my studio, and it's a walk down memory lane. This was drawn from life at the Artists' Guild in Melbourne, Florida.

Morning Has Broken, 24x48 Oil Portrait on Canvas, Girl in Kimono

NFS

This is a portrait of my granddaughter, Alexsa, done a few years ago, before I started doing small daily paintings. I haven't done anything this ambitious in a long time.

Lagoon Sunset, Original Oil Painting 10x8 Sunset on Indian River, Florida

This was the Fourth of July on the Indian River Lagoon, and moments later Army paratroopers came floating down with American flags. Sunsets are beautiful even when you are facing East and getting reflections on the clouds.
