Snowy Farm, oil painting

 Sold

This was the scene one morning at our daughter's home in Pennsylvania. There's nothing like morning light and long shadows.

The Golden Flute

Here's one from the archives. This lovely woman taught at Juilliard, and when she attended our Pen Women meetings she would treat us to a concert. Pen Women is a National organization of writers, artists, and musicians, chock full of talented women.

Outer Bands, 14x11 Original Oil Painting on Canvas

We were on the Pineda Causeway, crossing the Indian River, when we saw this. It looked the same in every direction. Hurricane Idalia was raging on the western side of the state, and we got this. We were very lucky once again. Other parts of Florida were not so fortunate.

Near the Falls, Original Oil on Canvas, 8x10

There is nothing like painting while sitting on a rock by a stream with the peaceful sound of the water trickling by. A few yards downstream this becomes a surprisingly big waterfall.

Black Grapes, Original Oil Painting 8x10 Still Life

Grapes are so versatile. Look what we get from them: grape jelly, grape jam, grape juice, vinegar, wine, and raisins; and of course they are delicious just as depicted here.

A Travel Zine for my Sister

It is thanks to my sister that I have traveled so many places and walked so many miles. We have never had a cross word, but we have on occasion laughed until we cried. I made her this little Zine for her birthday, and it brought many happy memories.

Studebaker Trucks

I saw these old trucks when visiting friends in Crawford County, Indiana, a place which is pure Americana. It has rolling hills, forests, the Ohio River, rusting vehicles, and very nice people. It also has a vibrant arts scene, I'm happy to say.

I just caught a last glimpse of the sun going down on the horizon on the Indian River.

Renaissance Fair, 12 x 12 Original Oil Painting

This is a scene from the colorful Renaissance Fair in Brevard County, Florida. I love seeing the costumes, and two standout events were a rock 'n roll bagpiper and a dance around the Maypole. Not just a traditional dance; you haven't lived until you've seen Renaissance characters in costume do the Chicken Dance.

"Gamble," 11x14 Original Oil Cat Painting

My daughter's cat Gamble was guarding the garden hose when I took her picture, and the light falling on her was the inspiration for this painting.

Audrey Hepburn, Collage on Canvas

SOLD
This was a commission that I did a while back. I used pictures and articles from Audrey Hepburn's movies and it was a pleasant walk down Memory Lane. I still remember when "Sabrina" came out and we all went out and bought slacks like Audrey was wearing:
And from Roman Holiday, the way she tied her scarf became the way everyone tied their scarf:
When Audrey grew old, she didn't bother with a facelift, just faced the world with wrinkles and all
and she was still beautiful. Here are some of her quotes:

For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness;
and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.

I can testify to what UNICEF means to children because I was among those who received food
and medical relief right after World War II.

Paris is always a good idea.
