Apple and Ulu, 5x7

BUY
The implement pictured here is an Ulu, an Alaskan knife historically used for everything from skinning a seal to cutting hair. I brought it home after visiting my Alaskan cousins and it gives me happy memories. And below is what my husband built yesterday to store frames and paintings. It is sitting beside the beautiful flat file he built a couple of years ago. I feel so organized now!

  1. Hi Carmen,
Love the ulu and the explanation. Would love to see your husband's handywork but I guess your photo didn't transfer. I'll check back later. Enjoy your day.

  2. Carmen...what a wonderful piece...the reflection and the apple, just love it. I have to admit that as a whole, that big sharp edge into the apple makes me a bit uncomfortable. But really do love this piece.

  4. Thats one great looking apple! Hap is such a craftsman, he should be making beautiful and unique pieces of furniture and selling them at top prices! I am so jealous of your studio!
