Color follows trends, and I guess bright yellow is not trendy now, because it was difficult to find a yellow that would give this butterfly some "punch." I finally discovered this buttery yellow in Dr. Oz's sweater. He is always so helpful, isn't he?

This is gorgeous. I love how you put this together. I think it's amazing. Do you have specific idea when you begin or do you look at the colors you've got and take it from there?
ReplyDeleteJeanine, in response to your question, I treat it like any painting. I do a sketch, then looking at colors and values I search thru magazines that have decent quality paper. I build my palette of paper accordingly. I start out organized, making piles of pages or pieces that might work, but somewhere along the way it always turns to chaos!
