Pieces of 8 Sale Saturday

The Pleininator
I will be painting tomorrow at the Pieces of 8 Studio Sale. There will be gift items and bargains galore. You won't believe the prices, and they are products that are Made In America, which makes them unique!

The sale will go on, rain or shine, and there will be refreshments and much congeniality. The address is 3532 Samuel Place, Melbourne, Florida. Watch for the signs.

Little Pitcher, 7x5

This was a lot more complicated than I thought it would be. I enjoy my handmade objects, especially pottery.

Still Life with Fruit, 10x8

I could not, for the life of me, think of a clever name for this painting. I started it in Qiang-Huang's workshop and finally finished it today. I love the names Carol Marine comes up with for her still lifes. She gives each object a personality and sometimes they are in the midst of an adventure.

Departure, 8x10

This is a complete departure from what I've done lately, but it is still a North Carolina painting. The sun was shining in so beautifully on the wine and the pottery, I rushed to paint the scene. You don't realize how quickly sunlight moves until you try to paint it. Cindy has a whole collection of lovely pottery, which I really appreciate not only for its beauty, but for the fact that Cindy supports local artists wherever she may be.
