I love shopping at my favorite produce market, but sometimes it's hard to figure out what you're buying, because very little English is spoken there. The other day I was delighted to find some "Eye Beans." I recognized them as fresh blackeyed peas. They are a lot of work to shell, but so worth it. Yum! I also picked up these peppers and some radishes which will appear in a future post.
Banana Peppers, I haven't heard that name before. Also, I've never seen fresh blackeyed peas. Very nice colors in this painting.
