It's hot, it's bright, it's the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge, and it's a beautiful place. We even found a spot where there was a whole group...? herd...? passel...? of manatees.
Love the purple shadows. About the coneflowers...try taking some seeds and planting some new ones this fall and some more new ones next spring. See if they do better in a different spot. I don't know if it's the humidity in FL vs CO, but they are everywhere out here!
