Humble Sunflower, 7x5, Oil on Canvas Board

I can't grow a vegetable to save my life, but flowers are another story. My yard is in bloom, and I really should record that in paint. You won't see any paintings of my pathetic bean plants that won't even produce one serving. Can't complain about my lettuce, though. I guess anyone can grow lettuce. Here are some of my flowers:

Bougainvillea
Bromeliad
Weird Alien Flower

  2. Love the sunflower painting. I do not have a green thumb at all. I need to buy my flowers. Like Cindy said, paint them all!

  3. What a lovely portrait of that sunflower! There is something so charming about them and you've captured that feeling well.

I'm envying your tropical climate for growing flowers of all types, Carmen. And I bet if you had your soil tested you might find out what the beans need for giving you something to eat. I mean, flowers are great, but fresh vegies are wonderful when you're hungry.
