Lake Junaluska Original Oil Plein Air Painting 5x7 on Canvas Panel

This beautiful spot is near Waynesville, North Carolina, and it was such a pleasure to sit and paint there. There is a rose walk on one side that is planted with a huge variety of roses--an exotic sight for a Floridian. It was my idea of a perfect morning.

Stepping Stones, 5x7 Original Oil on Canvas Panel, Smoky Mountains Art

We were hiking near Boone, North Carolina and crossed this little stream with its reflections of blue sky. It was a glorious Fall day and I was with my painting group, some of my favorite people in the world. It doesn't get any better than that.

Waterfall, 11x14 Oil on Canvas, Smoky Mountain Landscape Painting

It's amazing what you can find a few steps off the road in the Smokies. This was a magical place, with mossy green rocks and falling water. I love my home at the beach, but those mountains call to me now and then. This is a signed original, ready to frame.

Northwest Road, 8x6 Oil on Canvas Panel, Landscape Painting

This is a happy memory, from when our nephew, who is quite the outdoorsman and photographer, took us to remote places in the Cascades that tourists don't know about. What an exhilarating place to be! Washington is an absolutely fabulous state to visit and I can't wait to go back.

We are now in the mountains and they are in us, kindling enthusiasm, making every nerve quiver, filling every pore and cell of us.
