Storm's Coming, Original Oil Painting 30x40 Seascape with Birds

One thing about living by the ocean: you can see weather from a long way off. This time of year storms swoop in, blow wildly, drench everything and move on. Since I'm a gardener, I call this perfect weather. Rain has magic that no amount of sprinklers can equal.

Original Oil Painting on Canvas, Ocean Clouds, 8x10 Seascape

There was a heavy cloud in the foreground as I stood on the beach, and bright stripes of sunlight farther out to sea. Colors in the ocean are all about what the sky is doing, and I love when it takes a dramatic turn.

Rain's Coming, 30x40 Oil Painting on Canvas, Seascape

These are two of the paintings I will be exhibiting at my show on Anna Maria Island, at Paradise Found AMI, this Friday, the 16th of December. The address is 505 Pine Avenue. If you are in the area, please stop by.

I love painting weather. You can look out over the ocean and see all sorts of weather phenomena. Between the sky and the surf, there is always something to paint, even on a sunny day.

Storm's Coming, 30x40 Oil Painting on Canvas, Seascape

This painting will be on display in October-November with the Pieces of Eight art exhibit at the Fountains of Melbourne.

I love painting weather. The skies here are just amazing, no matter what the weather, and if you live in Florida and run out of things to paint, just look up!

Winter Morn, 8x10 Original Oil Painting on Canvas

$125, Click to Purchase

This light was filtered thru mist and just fell on the ocean in a white light. So peaceful at the beach in the morning. Flocks of seagulls flew by, and when I paint them it will be on a big canvas. I love the way they fly in formation, looking for breakfast.
