Rain's Coming, 30x40 Oil Painting on Canvas, Seascape

These are two of the paintings I will be exhibiting at my show on Anna Maria Island, at Paradise Found AMI, this Friday, the 16th of December. The address is 505 Pine Avenue. If you are in the area, please stop by.

I love painting weather. You can look out over the ocean and see all sorts of weather phenomena. Between the sky and the surf, there is always something to paint, even on a sunny day.

This painting is currently on display with the Pieces of Eight art exhibit at the Melbourne International Airport. We are exhibiting oil paintings, wall hangings, digital art, hand-colored photos and watercolors. Sunrises in Florida are glorious. The blues, purples and golds are astonishing, and I tried to capture that in this painting. This bird was just ambling along, looking for breakfast and enjoying another beautiful day by the sea. Need I mention that sunsets in Florida are also glorious?

To see a more accurate picture of this painting, click on the "click to buy" link above (it just takes you to Etsy). No matter how much I lighten it in my blog, it still looks more intense and darker than the original. I've tried and tried to fix that without success, so I just have to post it with a disclaimer. This didn't always happen and I don't know why it is happening now, but if any techno geniuses out there can tell me how to fix it, I'd be glad to hear from you.
